If Boring Bollocks had have still been our manager this year...
What would've happened?

Relegation battle?

LARD-ARSE Nolan in Payet's role (whom we'd never have signed).

15k less season-ticket sales for our new stadium?

Well?

I thought I would be gutted if he had kept them up but to be honest I really don't give a shit, and at least we will still have our pantomine villain around next season.

BFS took over for the WBA away game back in the middle of October. Sunderland were joint bottom with Newcastle on three points from nine games. Newcastle had played eight games.

Sam Allardyce took over Sunderland in 17th place. In 29 games he has taken them to their worse finish in three seasons and has them in 17th place. Sone on here see this as proof positive of his genius.

Thank god our board and the majority of our support saw through this sham and we have a real football manager at the club.

I am very happy that Allardyce kept Sunderland up as pure Alladyciology would have already had the excuse of "the damage was already done" or " he needs a whole season" or "he needs to bring in his own (Mark Curis) players"

Next season he will have no excuses. The fun begins again.

Re: If Boring Bollocks had have still been our manager this year...
We are West Ham,lets look back before BFS Pratt. Cearns ,T Brown they were our decline.Yes we had great players during these eras but appointments like Roeder,Grant, etc never gave our club hope that we would no more than a yoyo team from premiership to championship. When Gold,Sullivan and Brady got their hands on our club they had to employ an Alladyce type manager to create a discipline rather than a style of football we all wanted to see.
Like it or not he delivered and we are now building on that ethic with better players and more entertaining football.Everything can be looked at with hindsight but BFS is a firefighter and thats what we needed at the time much like Sunderland have done this season. He will not take them to the next level because he not an inspirer only a safe pair of hands.
Hopefully we will never go back to having managers who are either Yes men, chancers or just plain boring

Re: If Boring Bollocks had have still been our manager this year...
We would been hoping for windraws against Arse, ManU, Chelski, citeh etc and the kids would have lost 5-1 to Blackburn after which we would have been told to be careful what we wished for. Payet would have been called 'lazy' and sat in the reserves and Lanzini arrogant and loaned to Burton or Exeter. We would definitely be nowhere near 6th and would be told that getting near the high of 49 points i.e., 40 was progress. We would be constantly told that the 'West Ham Way' was losing under pressure and how he was all about 'winning' and 'achieving'. All the pundits would be telling us how lucky we were to have the fat cunt as manager an we would have sold less than 20, 000 STs at the OS and told that was a 'success' and was the right level for the club. All of this patronising drivel would gave been paraded right until that last game which we would have lost 3-0 and felt like shit, dreading the 1st year on the OS. He would have been booed by the fans on the last game with a sizeable chunk not waiting around for the fireworks and legends and that fat, sweaty Dudley dunce who wasn't fit to lace a WH ball boys boots when Dev, Trev and Bonzo played would have lorded it over them making us all feel sick. The crowning glory of his contempt for us would be when introduced to Roberta Moore and the grandchildren he's clearly heard shouting so loudly with all of the ground and tv hearing 'WOTS AT.? WOSS YER NAME? WHO?'.

We'll never know will we, but it's the West Ham way to be obsessed with the past & the what ifs.

I thought Bilic was a gamble but I love him as manager like I loved him as a player.

I hope his stay is a long one, very good feeling around the club this season.

Re: If Boring Bollocks had have still been our manager this year...
dont worry it was all a bad dream. Avram Grant ended up seeing us to safety after which he had a stroke on the pitch on the lst day of the season and died in agony in public. Pardew came along and made us a middle to lower Prem team for a few seasons before shagging one too many players wives and having to do the off to Palace. Then Slav took over.

Re: If Boring Bollocks had have still been our manager this year...
Boring bollocks was totally unprofessional from Boxing Day 2014 to May 2015 because he knew Sullivan wasn't going to renew his contract. So he took his salary under false pretences for that period. The guy is an arsehole as were his two assistants who both failed at Blackpool and Leyton Orient respectively.

Thank fuck the three of them are long gone!

If BFS had stayed as our manager the most likely outcome is that Sunderland would have been relegated.

Quality post.

We genuinely would have been deep in a relegation battle. See last half of last season for details
